Replacement of Faulty Components

Postby Joe T » Tue Jul 19, 2016 6:04 am

What is the process for getting faulty components replaced?

The SD card reader built into the Tooli control box appears to be DOA. I have tested a number of different SD cards, including the one that shipped, on multiple machines, none can be read by Tooli. The SD cards just have a straight forward FAT file system and a number of SVG files created by Art2Gcode.

In order for Tooli's control system to read a file on the SD card, the file must have the correct extension. Depending on the tool-head you intend using, the file extensions are as follows.

Plot tool-head: .gplt (myplot.gplt)
Airbrush tool-head: .gair (myairbrush.gair)
Laser tool-head: .glsr (mylaser.glsr)
Dispense: .gdsp (mydespense.gdsp)

Only files with an extension correct for the loaded tool will be displayed, all other files will be hidden. This prevents a job file for the laser being chosen when the loaded tool is the airbrush, for example.

If the controller does not display any files in the 'load job' screen, perhaps check to see if the files have the correct extension for the loaded tool.

Thank you for the explanation. Files with those extensions are now visible. Thanks.
